As a seasoned 25-year holiday rental-ist, I can confirm that Ardchattan Manse is one of my favourite places ever. The setting is magical — very private, with gardens running down to the loch shore. We wild-swam from the adjoining private beach every morning. Without a doubt, we will be returning.
The view, the garden, the rooms are incredible. A fantastic stay with my whole family. The cleanliness throughout was faultless. At first we felt like we were visiting a museum, but very quickly it became our home for an unforgettable holiday in Scotland.
I stayed at the Last Resort Pod for 10 nights — just me and my dog — and it truly felt like a home away from home. A lovely welcome package had been left for us, including treats for my dog. The pod was immaculate, warm and incredibly cosy. An ideal base for exploring the glen and coast.
We had an amazing week here. It really is just like the photos — close to the water, with incredible, peaceful views across to the islands. Our hosts were friendly and helpful throughout. The apartment was spotless, spacious, warm and comfortable. We can recommend hiring e-bikes and cycling over to Lismore.
Very well equipped kitchen with good facilities throughout. The bedrooms were a great size, the bathroom had a lovely shower, and the views from the living room across the sea were stunning. Cherry, the owner, sent a welcoming message before our arrival — a nice touch. Would definitely rent again.

The cottage is every bit as wonderful as it sounds — charming, cosy and beautifully appointed. Lynne and Geoff are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen dining room was perfect for our family breakfast each morning. A week of rest, good food and revitalisation. We will be back!
